Vivo T4x 5G – 50MP main Camera with budget price

Vivo T4x 5G: The budget 5G smartphone segment is heating up in India, and Vivo doesn’t want to be left in the dust. The company’s newest entrant, the Vivo T4x 5G, is targeted at the audience who are looking for next-gen connectivity, stylish looks, and dependable performance — but all of this without burning a hole in your pocket.

So, can the T4x walk the tightrope between price and practicality? Let’s find out.

Design and Build: Form and Function Stylish but Subtle

The Vivo T4x 5G is not a head turner but still looks modern and good looking. Its matte-finish back is good at disguising smudges and rut, and the phone comes in fashionable colors like Midnight Blue and Crimson Black.

The dual-camera arrangement is laid out nicely and it’s an uncluttered design — no frills, just good style.

It’s comfortable to hold and one-handed use is a breeze with it despite being about 184g in weight and just under 8.1mm thick. The frame is plastic, which is par for the course at this price, but the phone doesn’t feel flimsy or poorly made.

Decent Viewing Experience on The Run The design Tenor 10 or G features 5.5 inch, FHD screen.

Up front, the T4x packs a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may not provide the deep blacks and punchy colors of an AMOLED screen, but it’s nice and sharp, color ful enough and smooth enough for everyday use. Apps and web pages and social media fly past as you scroll.

The brightness levels are adequate, but direct sunlight legibility could have been better. But for indoor viewing, streaming and gaming, it’s fine.

Task: Cool Enough

Under the hood of the Vivo T4x 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which is coupled with 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

It’s got more than enough performance for everyday tasks — watching YouTube, chatting with friends on WhatsApp, and hopping between apps is rarely a problem.

Gaming is not one of its strengths, although light titles such as Subway Surfers or Call of Duty (on medium settings) work perfectly fine.

The tablet also offers RAM expansion of up to 8GB, providing a little more space for multitasking.

5G and Connectivity Readiness for the future

This is one of the cheapest 5G phones from Vivo, and it’s got support for lots of 5G bands.

Which makes it a good bet if you plan on keeping your device for the next couple of years, as 5G continues to gain popularity across India.

It also has dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, and (fans of the old ways, rejoice) a 3.5mm headphone jack — that’s a nice mix of new-age and old-age specs.

Battery Life: More Than a Day

The device is going strong with a 5,000mAh battery that can definitely take you through a day and a half with moderate usage.

Whether the calling, screen-breaking, video streaming or light gaming — you’re hardly going to need to reach for the charger before hitting the hay.

18W charging isn’t super fast, but it should be fine for the price/segment. A complete charge lasts about 2 hours, which is reasonable if you top it off overnight.

Camera: Basic but Serviceable

On the back is a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth lens. In good light, photos look good with reasonable detail and accurate color.

Don’t go in expecting flagship-quality footage, but it gets the job done for social media uploads and casual snaps.

Low-light photography is decent; with some noise and detail loss. The 8MP front camera is decent for video calls and selfies, but like the rear cameras, it can soften skin tones very slightly.

Software: Lean and mean

T4x is also powered by Funtouch OS 13, based on Android 13, and while Vivo’s skin may not be stock Android, it is certainly a lot cleaner now. There are a couple of preloaded apps, but they are not overly invasive.

It’s quick and easy to navigate, and the UI is extremely intuitive, even for someone who isn’t really used to using smartphones.

Pros:

120Hz FHD+ display
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is decent for everyday tasks
Clean aesthetic and small footprint
Good battery life
Affordable entry-level price for 5G connectivity

Cons:

No AMOLED display
Cameras struggle in low light
The 18W charging is slow in 2025
Plastic back (not surprising at this price)

Vivo T4x 5G Final Verdict: Worth It?

The Vivo T4x 5G isn’t trying to be showy — and that’s its greatest strength. It’s a good midrange option if you want a phone with reliable performance, decent visuals and 5G support, all at a low price point.

If you just upgraded from a 4G phone, or you are looking for a unit that covers basics without costing too much, it fits the bill just fine.
